Canonical has once again joined forces with Chinese firm Meizu to produce another high-end Ubuntu smartphone, the Meizu Pro 5 Ubuntu Edition.
The Linux-based device has been announced ahead of next week's Mobile World Congress, and follows last year's Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition. The Pro 5 Ubuntu Edition repeats the MX4's approach of applying Canonical's OS to an existing Android handset, in this case the China-only Meizu Pro 5.
The Pro 5 Ubuntu Edition, by contrast, will go on sale throughout Europe, joining the BQ Aquaris M10 Ubuntu Edition in Canonical's 2016 hardware lineup when it launches later this year.
