Sony is looking to topple the Apple iPad with its latest tablet, which it boasts is the "world's smallest and lightest" waterproof tablet.
The Xperia Z2 Tablet measures 6.4mm thick and weighs in at just 439g, which the firm pointed out it lighter than the iPad Air, at 469g.
The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with a quad-core 2.3GHz Krait CPU that Sony said offers higher performance with less battery drain.
Perhaps the Xperia Z2 Tablet's best feature is its tough build quality. For starters, it is IP55 and IP58 certified, meaning it is dust and water resistant.
As with Sony's other recent flagship devices, the Xperia Z2 Tablet's 10.1in display features Sony's full HD Triluminos screen technology along with the firm's new "Live Colour LED" technology, which makes colours appear more rich and natural.
