Apple has revealed it will charge £65 to replace a single AirPod after inevitably losing one down the back of the sofa or in some other crevice.
The charge is listed on Apple's iPhone Service Pricing page. Furthermore, Apple will charge £45 for battery service for the AirPods and charging case if they are still under their one-year warranty, with this price increasing to £65 for out of warranty kit.
Meanwhile, Spigen will charge you $9.99 to fix Apple's design flaw and ensure that your precious AirPods stay intertwined with its specially-designed, er, piece of string.
The product description reads: "Designed for all users. Ideal to never lose your Apple AirPods. Keep it in place around your neck, in your pocket, or anywhere you can hang a strap.
"Premium housing with a wire holder attachment to stay tangle-free. The tangle-free design makes the cable easy to store. You can wind it without having to worry about knots or kinks. Ideally to use at home, car and outdoor."
Apple's AirPods went on sale in the UK this week, with the firm promising delivery in time for Christmas. However, buyers have seemingly flocked (or there's hardly any stock) as shipping times have since slipped to six weeks.
The AirPods, which launched alongside the headphone jack-less iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, are cable-free earbuds that are the first to feature Apple's new proprietary W1 chip. This makes for almost instantaneous pairing with Apple devices and knows both when the AirPods are in your ear and when you start using a different Apple device.
Apple also claims this new chip offers greater range than rival products and a more reliable connection.
While some Beats headphones currently shipping offer these features, they lack the AirPods' Siri integration, which can be activated by tapping on them. They also don't come with Apple's fancy charging box type thing that gives you an extra 24 hours of battery life. µ
