The iOS 10 update is now live and as many as 20 per cent iPhone and iPad owners are thought to have moved to the new platform.
iOS 10 opens up a world of opportunities to app developers by allowing them to increase the functionality of apps, whether by integrating with iMessage, adding Siri support or with general updates.
V3 has used iOS 10 for around a week now, and here is a rundown of some of our favourite app updates since the new OS went live.
10. Circle payments app
Circle is a payments app that allows you to send money to people without needing bank details. As long as you have the contact details of that person you can send money directly in everything from pounds and dollars, to euros and bitcoin.
The app has been updated so that you can send money directly within iMessage without even having to open the app. This means you can easily send money to a friend or co-worker without having to ask for payment information.
If they don’t have the app installed, they will be prompted to install it to receive the payment.
It also works with iOS 9 and Android, although the user will need to visit an external link to complete the transaction.
