Unified communications and collaboration (UC&C) is a pervading theme in the enterprise. We all like to think we're collaborating to a high degree, but the reality is that IT often deploys a wealth of expensive technology that the rest of the organisation never actually uses.
This can be for a number of reasons. Lack of internal evangelism, for instance, or network and infrastructure failings that prevent hardware and software functioning correctly.
Computing's UC&C Spotlight is being produced in partnership with NetScout, and will focus on the common problems that can affect unified communications.
This will include actions to avoid failure, in-depth technical analysis of network infrastructure and discussions and analysis about UC&C as a common IT trend.
You can check out the first few pieces in the UC&C Spotlight, and please check back regularly for the latest updates.
