It's now just a month until Apple unveils the iPhone 7. Whatever happens, it's likely to be one of the biggest dates in the tech calendar this year, with a lot riding on the success of the device, as iPhone 6S and 6S Plus sales dry up.
There have been all kinds of rumours swirling around about what the new devices might include, so V3 has put together a wishlist of the key features we hope to see on the devices.
10. Face or iris recognition unlocking
Apple’s Touch ID fingerprint unlocking system has been one of the most welcomed additions to its devices in the last few years, especially as more developers incorporate it into their apps, removing the need to remember endless passwords.
However, biometric technology is not slowing down. Microsoft has managed to add face recognition technology to Windows 10, while Samsung has added iris recognition tech to its new Note 7 phablet.
Apple doing likewise would add another layer of security and, if nothing else, be another gimmick for the firm to tout with the new phone that most buyers would probably lap up.
