Dell's services division has opened the doors on a Digital Experience Studio which the firm intends will play a part in guiding companies embarking on a digital transformation strategy.
The new Dell facility is in Plano in Dell's home state of Texas, and is aimed at supporting customers in their digital journey with demonstrations of how modern digital technology is disrupting traditional business models, Dell said.
"Our customers are investing more in digital transformation and activity, and this studio creates a collaborative space for our customers that will ultimately help them take advantage of these advances and understand what is possible for their digital journey," said Dell Services president Suresh Vaswani.
The intention is to help customers realise ways to undertake digital transformation and cutting-edge innovation, according to Raman Sapra, Dell's global head of Digital Business Services.
"Successful digital transformation enables our customers to improve efficiencies across business operations, enhance their customers' experience, improve employee engagement, create new revenue channels and increase profitability," he said.
The facility is designed to provide an environment of "ideation" and collaboration, according to Dell. Attendees will be able to experience real-world demonstrations, view digital use cases and collaborate with Dell experts to create their own digital strategy.
The studio has five zones covering aspects of digital transformation ranging from concept, design and realisation, to real-time journey maps and associated touchpoints, the IoT and usability testing, a mobile-first approach, digital marketing and social media listening, Dell said.
Dell's Digital Business Services is able to offer industry-specific services and solutions for healthcare, banking, insurance, retail, manufacturing and education to effectively address the priorities for digital adoption for each of these markets, Dell claimed.
Dell is not the only IT firm opening special facilities in which to get up close and personal with customers. Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) officially opened what it calls a Customer Engagement Centre in the City of London earlier this year.
This was the first such facility HPE had launched outside North America, with similar aims in helping enterprise customers with digital transformation strategies. If Dell's Digital Experience Studio proves successful, the firm may expand the strategy to other territories.
V3 has launched a new Digital Technology Leaders Awards to celebrate the best in digital projects, people and teams - make sure you enter now, free of charge, to be in with a chance of winning.
