Apple has restored several of its key services such as iCloud and the App Store after an outage that affected users across the world on Tuesday evening.
Apple's status page now has information concerning the problems, noting that "users experienced a problem with our service", although details on the cause of the outage have not been given.
V3 contacted Apple on Tuesday for information on the problems that were occuring but did not receive a reply.
This outage meant that users could not log-in to iCloud or download an app from the App Store, and would see only the message above. The spinning 'loading wheel' indicating that a download is about to take place would simply loop for a few minutes before eventually giving up.
Numerous web users left comments on forums and Twitter reporting the problems when they first came to light last night.

The outage appeared to affect users from across the world with people in Finland the Netherlands,Canada and the US all being affected by the lack of service.
The incident was especially frustrating for those who use their iCloud email account as their primary contact email as it meant messages were not received.

This is not the first time Apple services have gone offline. A similar incident earlier this year cost the company around £17m when people were unable to access the App Store, iCloud and iTunes during a 12-hour outage.
