Suse has made available an updated version of its cloud computing platform based on the OpenStack framework.
Incorporating the latest Juno release of OpenStack, it also adds Suse's Enterprise Storage software and enhancements to ease deployment.
Formerly named Suse Cloud, the latest release is called Suse OpenStack Cloud 5 and is an updated version of the firm's enterprise-ready OpenStack distribution for building private infrastructure-as-a-service cloud computing environments.
Based on the most current Juno release, Suse OpenStack Cloud 5 delivers the updates introduced with Juno, most notably the Sahara project that enables Hadoop to be deployed and run on a customer's cloud.
