Vodafone UK is offering its customers ultrafast 4G roaming coverage in an additional 17 countries in order to try and ensure customers can still access high speed mobile broadband wherever they are in the world.
The additions will take the number of applicable countries up to 40, and offer what Vodafone describes as a smooth passage when crossing continents.
Antigua and Barbuda, Cayman Islands, Croatia, Israel, Japan, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Fiji and Kuwait have been added to the list, and join the 23 countries announced earlier this year.
Vodafone customers will be able to use fast 4G connections as they roam across Europe or the world at a fixed cost per day.
Pay-monthly customers can, for example, take advantage of the service across Europe for an additional £3 a day, while those travelling further afield will pay £5 a day.
Vodafone said that paying the additional money will allow customers to take their current UK data, text and call allowances with them as they travel.
Business customers can sign up for Vodafone's EuroTraveller and WorldTraveller roaming packages at any time.
"Around four million people head overseas during the festive period, so today's news is perfect for those wanting to upload photos or videos of their celebrations to their social media sites or check maps online whilst on the move," said Cindy Rose, head of consumer business for Vodafone in the UK.
