Twitter has released updates to its iOS and Android apps as well as to its mobile site to enhance experience for its mobile users.
The firm had already started including older tweets in users' search results, and will now offer mobile users this same capability.
Meanwhile Twitter has introduced features specifically for its iPad and iPhone customers, including improved autocomplete functionality.
When users search on Twitter or they are composing a tweet, they will see more hashtag, topic and username suggestions as they type.
An integrated Twitter web browsing experience has also been introduced (pictured left).
"When you open a link from a tweet in your timeline, you'll see that tweet displayed at the bottom of the app's built-in web browser," said Twitter software engineer Nick Takayama in a blog post.
"This provides additional context to the page you're viewing, and makes it easy for you to retweet, favourite or reply to the tweet as you're reading an article or watching a video."
While neither of the iOS updates are major changes, they show Twitter is beginning to introduce innovative features for mobile users ahead of its website.
Twitter users can download these latest updates via Apple's App Store or Google Play.
