Digital monitoring firm Webtrends has announced the launch of a new iPad application designed to provide detailed insights into a company's performance on services such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
The Webtrends Today application is available from Tuesday via iTunes as a free download, for existing or new customers. It lets users integrate their accounts from leading social sites such as Twitter and Facebook and receive information such as channel views and mentions on their iPad app.
This can include data such as 'Likes', conversations around the brand, follower counts and even Klout scores. Data from YouTube will offer information on channel views and subscriber information.
For existing Webtrends customers, the app can also be integrated with its Analytics 10 platform to provide access to key data on website hits and visits as standard.
Benjamin Diggles, director of digital marketing with Webtrends, said the firm developed the application in response to requests from customers looking for an easier way to access key data from social sites, which are increasingly key to brands as they seek to bolster their online presence.
"We developed the new Webtrends Today iPad app with the needs of our customers and modern digital marketers in mind," he said.
"Our iPad app is specifically designed and optimised to make important digital data beautiful, mobile, meaningful and, most of all, shareable, so that the insights it inspires can reach throughout organisations and make them more successful."
The use of key social sites such as Twitter has increased massively over the past few years as businesses understand the value of interacting with customers over the sites, with numerous firms offering analytic tools to help track discussions around brands that firms can monitor.
