Panda Security has launched its Cloud Office Protection Advanced offering companies anti-malware and anti-spam protection.
The company said that the new service is the first cloud-based endpoint security system with protection for Exchange Servers. Panda claimed that the service also offers several unique malware protection measures.
"Panda Cloud Office Protection Advanced is the only software-as-a-service endpoint security solution that includes Device Control technologies designed to prevent the spread of malware through the improper use of external devices," it said.
"The new version of software also includes Malware Freezer, a module that ‘freezes' detected malware for seven days by placing it in quarantine. This tool ensures system stability, restoring false positive files."
The service also features anti-spam protection that blocks unwanted messages and a new mailbox scanner tool that can be tweaked to manage the server resource usage.
Cloud Office Protection Advanced works by scanning all inbound and outbound email regardless of the protocol used, Panda claimed.
The cloud-based system also features a new intelligent mailbox scanner that Panda claimed can optimise server resource usage.
Cloud-based security is growing market trend, with HP's chief executive Meg Whitman claiming that it is a key growth market within the cloud sector at the firm's Discover event in Las Vegas.
