Apple's Siri voice command system has earned the approval of many users but some customers have expressed doubts the service will translate to other devices.
A report from home entertainment analysis firm Parks Associates found that more than half of all users were 'very satisfied' with the service.
First introduced with the iPhone 4S, Siri's voice-activated management system was touted as the star of Apple's latest handset.
According to Parks Associates report, more than 70 per cent of customers it surveyed were very satisfied or satisfied with the service.
"Siri is clearly a hit among the initial iPhone user base," said Parks associates director of consumer analytics John Barrett.
"Consumers like Siri because it's convenient, easy to use, and helpful for remembering important information [such as] birthdays and its hands-free capability makes it easy to send texts, emails, and phone calls."
That enthusiasm, however, may not translate to other devices. Just 37 per cent of customers surveyed would want to use Siri with another device such as a television set.
While Apple has yet to announce any other products which will use Siri, analysts have suggested that the system could be used in devices such as smart TVs.
Apple is rumoured to be developing a branded TV set for use with its iTunes and iCloud platforms.
"Some [customers] said Siri didn’t work well against background noise. Others said it had trouble understanding commands," Barrett explained.
"These problems could be amplified in a noisy living room, where the main TV would be located.”
