HP has extended its application management platform to better support social networking platforms and mobile devices.
The company said that its Application Lifecycle Intelligence tools would allow companies to monitor and manage applications which use social networks as well as provide new mobile testing and application management tools.
HP is also offering support for the SAP NetWeaver platform.
These tools will allow mobile users to access documents and data from SAP enterprise applications.
HP also plans to offer tools to automate and speed up the development and testing of mobile applications.
Meanwhile, HP's Enterprise Collaboration service is targeted at firms looking to integrate social networking components into their applications.
The platform will allow employees to collaborate on projects and resolve application issues with messaging and email services and allow firms to interact with customers and resolve service problems.
Both platforms will look to address what HP sees as a shortage of testing and management options for enterprise application management tools.
"Modern enterprise applications require a different approach to design and testing than traditional applications," said HP application transformation services vice president and general manager, Jonathan Rende.
The company said that all of its new tools will be offered to businesses through the Application Transformation platform.
