The AC100 mobile internet device (MID) runs Android 2.1, and features an Nvidia Tegra 250 1GHz mobile processor, 512MB DDR2 RAM, 8GB Flash storage and a 10.1in TruBrite LED backlit display with 1,024 x 600 resolution.
Although it boasts a full keyboard, Toshiba was keen to state that the device is not a smartphone or a netbook.
No official price has been released, but Toshiba estimates £249 as a starting price.
