ATI last week released an entry-level graphics card based on its new ATI Rage 128 processor. The Xpert 99 features 8Mb of video memory and uses the AGP 2x interface. The card offers a high degree of 3D acceleration and is capable of delivering a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 with a refresh rate of 85MHz. The Rage128 processor is ATI's latest and most advanced graphics processor, offering a superscalar rendering engine and twin cache architecture. The card will be available from the end of this month at a price of #55.
