US cable group, Media One, is abandoning its agreement to be acquired by Comcast to accept a $62 billion cash and stock offer from AT&T.
AT&T's bid made last week tops Comcast's $60 billion offer. Comcast has until Thursday to respond to AT&T's proposal.
Chiefs at Media One, which sells offers services in areas including Boston, Atlanta, Richmond and Los Angeles, said AT&T's bid was a "superior proposal".
