Radware has introduced a new member of its Web Server Director family of IP load-balancing devices that promises to speed Internet or intranet traffic by 250 times over previous versions. WSD-Pro+ features Radware's Local Triangulation technology, which enables servers on the network to bypass the WSD-Pro+ device when sending traffic back to the client. This enables throughput of up to 445Mb for HTTP traffic and 920Mb for FTP traffic.
Other features include mirroring capabilities and the ability to balance load by file type. The new box also comes bundled with the company's new Java-based management tool, called ConfigWare. Pricing for WSD-Pro+, which is available now, starts at $15,280 (£9,430).
