Taking Stock has long been familiar with the biking accountant, but we've just learned that one practice has taken this affiliation a step further. The Stephen-Hill practice, based near Wroutham in Kent, has just moved its office to the site of a famous former bikers' cafe, just half a mile from Brands Hatch. Bikers old and young travelled to the site of the once-famous caff to join the office opening. Champagne and canapes were rejected in favour of bacon butties and tea served from special 'I remember Johnson's cafe' mugs. And if you think this sounds an unlikely way to drum-up business, you'd be wrong. One tattooist and body piercing artiste struck a rapport with the firm and has since received a visit. TS wonders what he served his tea in.
