Thistle Hotels has awarded Racal Telecom a three-year contract to provide a communications infrastructure between the organisation's 60 UK hotels.
Once implemented, the new system will provide a centrally-managed reservation service which will allow customers to book rooms in any of the company's sites from a single national number. Racal will deliver a LAN interconnection service which will link all of Thistle's hotels across the country to create a unified IP network. By linking all of the sites to Thistle's mainframe in Leeds, staff will have access to centralised information such as reservation, customer and inventory details.
