Alcatel has launched 1131 Dana, a network adapter that allows telcos to connect high speed asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL) subscribers to the legacy networks of ISPs and corporate users. The product enables users to switch between Internet access and a corporate Lan connetion. It also enables operators to generate billing data and keep detailed user profiles on data rates, services classes, and so on.
