GWI Software used Lotusphere to debut Web-Domino 2.0, a Domino add-on that lets administrators work through a browser to query a customer database across intranets and the Internet. The software, which is available now, enables administrators to close trouble tickets and manage service bulletins and knowledge base documents with any browser and the Domino server at the back end. Version 2 has been enhanced to allow users to prioritise trouble tickets within user-defined parameters, and a dashboard feature allows users fast access to the main controls. Search criteria can be applied to customer profiles so that searches can be performed against names or telephone numbers. Support for AS/400 and PalmPilot platforms is available, but support for Lotus Instant Host Server will not be ready until the end of March. End-user prices start at $695 (#419) for each help desk seat, the PalmPilot client costs $1,000 (#602) for five users and $250 (#151) for individual licences. The AS/400 server costs $25,000 (#15,060) plus $695 (#419) for each client seat.
