Corel is selling off its Medical Series software to Hoffman & Associates in return for a minority stake in the company and an ongoing royalty stream. All seven titles, including those under development, will be included in the deal. Michael Cowpland, Corel's president and chief executive, said the move "reflects Corel's current business strategy to focus more on our core technologies, Corel WordPerfect, CorelDraw and the new emerging Java technology." Corel also sold its CD Home Collection to Hoffman last month.
