US reports said that Ascend and Sony are set to introduce a videoconferencing solution which will compete with Intel?s offering.
The product will look at the number of ISDN connections available and adjust them automatically.
It involves both Ascend and Sony merging their existing products together.
These are Sony?s Trinicom Mini 1000 videoconferencing system and Ascend?s Multiband Max 2000 inverse multiplexor, the reports added.
