Creative Technology has obtained a US court order barring Cyrix and Compaq from shipping Media GX-based systems in their current form.
The court ruled that Cyrix should be given time to develop and test an alternative. The current versions generate a computer screeen desicribing the Media-GX audio solution as coming from Creative.
In May, the court supported Creative?s demand that Cyrix and Media GX chip customers could not advertise Media GX- based systems as being compatible with Creative?s Sound Blaster card.
