Entertainment aggregator Simply Media has launched a multi-platform lifestyle TV channel aimed at women.
Simply.tv will launch online and through Sky, and will show in 'captive audience' slots in hair salons and shopping environments.
If Simply.tv achieves its target audience of over two million, it will become one of the top women's media brands in the UK.
Content comprises a predictable mix of showbiz news, music and film reviews, beauty tips, food and drink features, author interviews and health articles drawn from Simply Media's existing channels.
These include BeautyZone TV, HealthZone TV, FoodZone TV, BookZone TV, Avenue 11 and Simply Entertainment. Three additional online categories offer Gardening TV, the Baby Channel and Astrozone.
Programming will be chopped into two to five minute chunks, suitable for " non-broadcast" digital media consumption.
Simply Media expects the content to appeal to women in work aged 25-34 who shop regularly and spend an average of 15 hours a week online.
