Former Apple Computer chief executive Gil Amelio has joined a San Francisco technology investment group.
Amelio, who left Apple six months ago with $10 million for 500 days? work, has joined The Parkside Group as a director and partner. He will take a share in the company?s management-friendly buyouts of companies with proven technology and earlier stage financing of companies that are within a year of generating revenue.
The former National Semiconductor chief executive said the move is a natural career progression because it takes his experience and applies it to many companies. He is currently finishing a book on his brief spell at Apple.
