Microstrategy has endorsed Tandem as the platform of choice for its data warehousing products. Stuart Holness, managing director of Microstrategy in the UK, said last week that benchmarks his company had produced showed that Tandem was a better choice for corporate users than the opposition.
The benchmarks involved a so-called collaborative stress test, showed scalability for enterprise data warehouse access by simulating the workload of over 40,000 users.
But although the endorsement is good news for Tandem, whose DSS executive Mike Delaney thanked Holness for the gesture, it is set to antagonise Sequent, which is expected to announce a similar benchmark later in the month.
