Philips has canned future production of its Velo handhelds based on Microsoft's Windows CE Handheld PC Professional specification preferring instead to focus on its Nino Palm-PC device. Philips cited confusion among larger devices as the reason, although sources were quoted as saying that sales of the Velo handheld machine had been sluggish.
