Jointly developed with the government's Defence Evaluation & Research Agency, it has been used to address a range of risk-management needs including those of the European Foundation for Quality Management and Construction - Design and Management. A stand-alone product running on a PC, it is designed to provide a flexible framework for collecting, analysing and reporting on risk data. Line International director of marketing Chris Williams said it was partner Faithful & Gould that realised the product was equally suitable for corporate governance use. Instead of amending the software, Line International has tailored the product by adding a register of the specific risks addressed in the report. A copy of the Turnbull Report has been embedded in the Ris3 system and items within the program are cross-referenced to paragraphs within the report. Deloitte & Touche senior manager Margaret Cassidy said the software could help, but warned against regarding any product as a panacea. 'No one should assume they can solve the problem through software alone. The most important and difficult thing that's needed is a culture change, which has to come from the top of the organisation.'
