Mozilla has released the third beta of Firefox 3.1, which boasts improved performance, web compatibility and speed.
The public preview release is intended for "developer testing and community feedback", said the firm in a developer blog post. Users are advised by Mozilla to read the release notes and known issues before installing the beta.
