Internet software company Open Market has launched its Live Commerce product for building and running large catalogues for conducting commerce on the Internet and Intranets.
The company is aiming the product at business-to-business manufacturers and distributors, which currently use paper catalogues or staff-intensive telephone ordering services.
By using a Web-based catalogue, product updates can be made instantly online and each catalogue can be personalised to the target customer or market.
The new product is configurable by the customer using flexible authoring technoiques and runs on Windows NT. Prices from $45,000.
