Baan Infosystems India Limited has tied up with the $ 222 million US-based Hyperion Software Corporation to sell, implement and support the latter's products in India.
Hyperion had entered into a worldwide alliance with Baan Company, the leading enterprise business management software solutions company, in July this year.
The two companies have now extended the relationship to India.
Baan will add Hyperion's solutions for budgeting, consolidation and reporting alongwith its ERP solutions. In addition to selling and implementing the Hyperion solutions in India, Baan Infosystems, a subsidiary of the Baan Company, will invest in training and a centre of excellence for the Asia-Pacific market.
Hyperion software solutions are positioned as analytical applications that enhances the benefits derived from implementing the traditional ERP and transaction processing products.
The solutions depend on secondary data sources to generate reports. Richard Lisbin, Asia Pacific director of sales, Hyperion Software said the arrangement with Baan in India is non-exclusive one.
