Informix is increasing its commitment to Linux as the free Unix flavour gathers momentum.
The database supplier is expected to ship its flagship Dynamic Server database on the operating system early next year.
In July, Informix joined other database suppliers to offer a free version of its SE-database for the platform, and the positive reaction is believed to have convinced it to offer a fully-supported version.
Informix is also reported to be working on offering its Universal Server product on Linux, although no delivery date has been set.
