Clone chipmaker AMD has failed to sign first tier PC vendors for its Intel alternative. Richard Baker, European marketing manager of the company, said today: "Elonex, Evesham Micro, Opus, Compusys and Atlantic have signed deals. There is no Compaq or IBM yet." But rumours persisted that Amstrad-owned Viglen had changed its mind about the platform.
