?Push? technology expert, Marimba Incorporated is attempting a change of image claiming that its expertise lies in software distribution not in content.
Until now the vendor?s Castanet tchnology has been largely perceived as a variant of ?push? technology allowing content providers to reach audiences with television like channels of information and entertainment.
But the company plans to unveil a round of corporate customers using its Castanet tool as a method for delivering software and services to employees by the end of February.
?Business using Castanet technology for internal purposes will soon account for 70 percent of the company?s revenue.? said Sam Hobson, Marimba?s director of product marketing.
