The myth that email provides an address for life is being blown away as AT&T pulls the plug on Planet Internet's modems to bring an end to the ISP's troubled year of operation. The company was launched in early 96, bought by AT&T from its Dutch owners KLM last autumn and buried with its alleged few thousand subscriber base in June. AT&T will continue to forward email for the three months following the closure.
