Next week Compaq will release details of a clustering technology for Alpha-based Tru64 Unix called No single point of failure and will explain how the Alpha products fit into its NonStop eBusiness strategy. Compaq has set aside $100 million (£63 million) to try to encourage more ISVs to port to Tru64 Unix. The company refused to say how much has been invested in Tru64 to date.
