Apple?s iMac PC is the best selling consumer desktop system in the US. A report from ZD Market Intelligence showed that the iMac has held the top spot for the past three months and shows signs of carrying on the momentum in the run up to Christmas.
Steve Jobs, Apple?s interim CEO, said he believed the iMac?s popularity was due to its easy Internet access. ?I just hope we?ve made enough for the holiday rush," he commented.
The iMac, which was launched in August, shipped 278,000 units in six weeks, making it the best selling computer in Apple?s history.
