In a similar case a tiny French-American start-up is taking on industry giant IBM over the use of its E-business logo. Shaped like the "@" symbol used in Email addresses, the IBM motif looks remarkably similar to the E Technologies logo. E Technologies, a two-man IT consultancy firm, claims to have registered the trademark in June 1997, two months before IBM.
E Technologies is reported to be seeking #5.4 million to settle court cases in Holland and France.
