Iona Technologies has started shipping bridging software that enables users to store and access Corba-compliant objects in version 5.0 of Versant's object database. The Orbix-Versant Adapter, which links the database to Iona's object request broker, is targetted at application developers and costs $3,000 per developer license, with additional runtime fees.
