Plummeting Dram prices have forced Hitachi and Texas Instruments to liquidate Twinstar, their US semiconductor joint venture.
Twinstar has made losses since its set up in 1995. TI will buy the assets and employ Twinstar?s 600 staff to make it a TI subsidiary. Hitachi said the deal will appear as a cost in its year to March.
