Nortel Networks has announced the acquisition of software manufacturer X-Cel Communications for an undisclosed sum. X-Cel is a UK company producing tools for voice carriers and service providers, and Nortel plans to write its technology into its Integrated Network Management series by the end of the year.
Nortel had previously resold X-Cel's technology.
