Virgin Net is set to launch its Net Travel Channel later this month, continuously adding information to a site which it expects to have heavy traffic.
The site will include a UK hotel finder to help online users find and book hotels, guesthouses and B&Bs nationwide. In addition you will be able to find out about resturants and leisure activities in the place you are visiting.
Travel Guides, produced in conjunction with Lonely Planet, will cover the UK and globally - christened "the bible of all travel agents". These will cover everything from climate and hotels to vaccinations and health requirements.
Holiday Finder will list the latest last minute deals all leaving within eight weeks. There will also be information on how to get to your destination by air, road, rail and sea.
Stuck for a destination - a brochure bank will allow you to order brochures online. Before you take off you can check exchange rates using the currency converter and look up five day weather forecasts for most major cities. There will also be a chat room where you can go and talk to other Virgin Net subscribers about travel experiences.
