Internet search company Infoseek has followed on the heels of rival portal sites by adding personalised home pages to create an online community of customers.
The new service, to be called Home Page Center, will allocate 7Mbytes of disk space to allowing users to create their own multimedia Web sites. Members of the service will be able to build sites with multiple pages, animation, audio and video capabilities and links to the rest of the Web.
Home Page Center will be powered by WBS, which Infoseek bought last April.
