Germany's Bosch Telecom has teamed with specialist dealer board vendor V-band to offer combined voice and data systems and services for financial traders.
Using a combined system, traders will get a dealing board that offers advanced functions like video conferencing, computer telephony integration and teleworking in addition to regular trading activity.
The companies will offer V-band's dealer board system alongside Bosch's networking and CTI systems using a single salesforce based at V-band's London offices.
Although a small company alongside the massive Bosch group, New York based V-band claims to have 20 per cent of the installed base of dealer boards in the UK.
Customers will deal with one contact for sales and support, the companies said. This means the telecomms equipment will get the same rapid support that dealer boards get, they added.
Bosch says it will respond to a support request from London traders within 30 minutes of a fault being reported, adding that 95 per cent of faults with its equipment are dealt with remotely.
