Adobe has axed its Persuasion presentation graphics application because it was unable to compete against rival Microsoft's Powerpoint offering, according to US reports. Although Adobe said it would continue to provide users with technical support for the product, it said that other product areas made a higher return on investment. Analysts said the news was not unexpected because the business graphics market was very slow, especially since Microsoft bundles Powerpoint, in effect giving it away.
