InfoModelers will ship version 3.1 of its data modelling tool, bundled with Informix' Universal Server object-relational database, later this month, but will also offer it as a standalone product from August.
The offering creates SQL3-based models and can be used to build data warehouse models. It provides data model descriptions and supplies business rules and requirements in ordinary English. The Enterprise Edition, which supports group development and multiple databases, costs $3,195 per user, the Select Edition, for single databases, which costs $1,495, and the Personal Edition for modelling desktop databases, which costs $695.
