Apple's iTunes store has served its 10 billionth song download. A user called Louie Sulcer from Woodstock, Georgia downloaded the Johnny Cash tune Guess Things Happen That Way to record the historic milestone.
The song is likely to be the last Sulcer has to purchase from iTunes for some time, as he has picked up a $10,000 iTunes gift card for purchasing the 10 billionth song.
ITunes has been the largest music retailer on the market since 2008.
"We are grateful to all our customers for helping us reach this amazing milestone," said Eddy Cue, Apple's vice president of internet services.
"We are proud that iTunes has become the number one music retailer in the world, and selling 10 billion songs is truly staggering."
